the class(es) for which your child is eligible.
The green section includes our three oldest classes (Grasshoppers, Crickets and Junebugs). Just before the start of school all of the children accepted into this block will be placed into one of the three classes. When placing children we consider birthdates, gender balance for the classes, and any special circumstances (as determined by the director). See the "Class Offerings" page for approximate ages for each class.
A note about our Pre-K class (Grasshoppers)
Children who are four (or will turn four by the end of September) are normally placed in this class. However, if your child will turn four in the summer or in September and you think you will likely give him/her an extra year before entering kindergarten (and you plan to stay at CHLG for pre-K) please let us know. In this situation we will consider placing your child in the Crickets class for 2012-2013 so that he/she can attend the Grasshopper class in 2013-2014.
If your child falls into the pink section (for Caterpillars and Honeybees) please note that children are not allowed to attend the teacher led classes until they are at least 30 months of age (due to licensing requirements). If you would like to make application for your child please read the special note on the application carefully, as your child will not be able to begin attending classes until he/she turns 30 months old.
