General Information About Making Application
Applications for 2012-2013 are now being accepted. Please peruse the "apply" tab for more information about our program and the various classes available. The "Class Calculator" will help you determine the class(es) for which your child is eligible.
Before making application be sure to read the CHLG Membership Agreement and the CHLG Policy and Procedures Manual. These documents will give you additional details about our program as well as information about what is expected from participating families. We also invite you to attend one of our Open House dates: Thursday, February 23rd or Friday, February 24th (from 10:00-Noon) to see our program first hand. If you are unable to make these dates you may also request another date for a tour. Just let us know via the "contact" tab.
New families have two application options (and these options are also explained more fully on the application itself). Those for whom CHLG is their first choice (those who are not waiting for admission/lottery results from DCPS or other private or charter schools) can apply by Monday, February 27th, for "early acceptance". Early acceptance applicants will be placed just after returning families. All other applicants should submit their applications by Thursday, March 15th, in order to participate in the general lottery.
Families who are currently (or who have ever been) a part of CHLG should use the "Application for Returning Families". Anyone who is new to CHLG should use the "Application for New Families". Please see the bottom of the application for information regarding submission (and note that the address to submit applications is different from our physical address). And please feel free to use the "contact" tab if you have questions about CHLG or the application process.
