Our In-Person Classes Started September 8th
You can find out more about our unique program by perusing
our website, though you will also find a quick summary below

Capitol Hill Learning Group (CHLG) is a Christ-centered hybrid micro-school established in 2011.  Our model includes professional teachers, small class sizes (no more than 10-12 students per grade level), and a reduced in-class schedule.  We currently have openings in our 2nd, 5th, 7th and 9th grade classes and would be happy to share more about our unique program, which includes in-person learning which started September 8th. Our students are guided and mentored by teachers and parents and grow to be independent learners, completing a percentage of their academic work, as assigned by teachers, at home (either independently, for older students, or with the guidance of parents, for younger students).  Our parents join our teachers in the educational goals for their children, either by assisting with the teaching and completion of at-home assignments (younger students) or by mentoring and providing accountability for quality assignment completion (older students).  Because of our small class sizes, our ability to reduce risk from a facility standpoint, and cooperation from our families (who are committed to taking precautions to help insulate our community from COVID-19) we have been able to offer in-person classes as of September 8th.  Additionally, we have an excellent virtual learning program that we put in place last spring which we are prepared to pivot to if that becomes necessary.  Many schools struggled with virtual learning last year but our families can attest to the fact that our model was a success.  Our students were held accountable, both by teachers and parents, and through various learning modalities including recorded lessons, live online classes and online check-ins with teachers, our students were able to complete the full curriculum for their grade level and receive typical grade reporting for both semesters of the school year.  If you’re looking for a place where your son or daughter can thrive academically, even in the midst of the pandemic, please reach out to us via our CONTACT TAB.  We'd be happy to share more about our unique program!
