Middle School Math Teacher (Part-Time)

Please read below for more information about this teaching opportunity.
Those interested in making application should complete the online Teacher Application .

PLEASE NOTE: Due to CHLG's University-Model® structure, our teaching positions are all part-time.

CHLG seeks a dynamic, organized and knowledgable teacher to join our Middle School teaching team. Successful candidates will have experience planning and leading middle school mathematics courses (excellent classroom management skills a must).  CHLG is an Evangelical Christian school and as such we seek Christian candidates who are interested in integrating the Christian worldview into daily programming and in working closely with parents and other teachers. This is a part-time teaching position (12 hours on site per week, plus outside planning time) and the salary ranges from $15,000-$17,500 annually depending on education and experience. Math courses will be taught Tuesdays and Fridays (8:30-2:15).  *NOTE: We specifically seek teacher candidates who are looking for part-time work and can commit at least through June 2023.
  • About CHLG: CHLG is a Christ-centered micro-school that utilizes the University-Model® approach (a combination of classroom-based and home-based education). Our class sizes are small (no more than 12 students per class) and our teachers are valued for their leadership and knowledge and for the special part they play in our very close knit community. Middle School classes meet on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00-2:00, though the math teacher only teaches two out of those three days.  Teacher's hours are 8:30-2:15 with monthly after school meetings that run until 3:30 and we follow a typical school calendar (school starts for teachers on August 23rd and ends on June 16th). Teacher's children may attend CHLG's Preschool, Lower School or Middle School program at a reduced tuition rate if space is available.
  • Education / Experience: Candidates should identify as Christians and be capable of integrating the Christian worldview into daily programming. Successful candidates will hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Education or a bachelor's degree in a related field. Classroom teaching experience is preferred but not required.   Interested?  Please apply HERE.
